A Letter From Kelly, Alexa’s Mom
Thank you for being here and for taking the time to learn about my daughter, Alexa.
Alexa was one of those rare souls who loved deeply and without hesitation. She was sweet, caring, funny, full of life, and all heart. She accepted people exactly as they were, stood up for others, loved animals, and had a way of making everyone feel important, included, and loved.
Our beautiful Alexa was one of a kind with an amazing sense of humor, charm, and a kind heart. She had the best dance moves, and a personal style unlike anyone else. Alexa was who she was and made everyone around her feel seen in being exactly who they are. She saw in others what she also saw in herself, that it is beautiful to be exactly who you are. She enjoyed life, lived with a fun spirit, love and compassion for others.
Losing her in such a sudden and tragic way has changed our lives forever. There is no pain like losing a child. But in the midst of the heartbreak, I knew I wanted to make sure Alexa’s life continues to matter, continues to help others, and continues to bring love into the world.
This foundation and annual golf tournament exist to honor who Alexa was and what she cared about most, helping animals, supporting young girls who love basketball, and caring for the mental health of first responders who carry so much weight for our communities.
Your Support Has a Profound Impact
When you support this tournament, you are not just donating.
Alexa had a tattoo that captured the way she lived:
“
Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who mistreat you.
Luke 6:27-28
That message continues to guide me. My hope is that through this foundation, Alexa’s light will continue to shine, and her love will continue to change lives.
Thank you for remembering my daughter.
Thank you for helping carry her legacy forward.
With love and gratitude,
Alexa’s Mom, Kelly
